TERRAZZO RESTORATION

before
after

Before calling Stone Seal the owner of the Terrazzo Floor Pictured had an Acrylic Coating applied. As is the case with most topical coatings, dust, dirt, and sand were trapped and consequently ground into and scratching the floor. Most topical coatings, as is the case with this one, will be applied clear, but then have a tendency to yellow over time. Stone Seal’s procedure to refinish this floor included stripping the acrylic coating, diamond grinding and honing, Powder Polishing with superfine abrasives, and sealing with an impregnating sealer. You can see that the natural polishing procedure used by Stone Seal does not produce a waxy look, but instead produces a true reflection.
